Danube River Cruise - Day 1

September 17th was our first full day on our cruise.
We began in Vilshofen where I hiked to the Schweiklberg Abbey. We then cruised from Vilshofen to Passau a distance of 24 km / 15 miles. After arriving in Passau we took a walking tour of the "City of the three rivers."
Danube River Cruise - Day 3
On the third day of our cruise we sailed through the Wachau Valley and then docked in Weissenkirchen. Once docked we took a tour of Durnstein and Melk Abbey.
Danube River Cruise - Day 5
On day 5 of we cruised from Vienna, Austria to Bratislava, Slovakia. Once in Bratislava we took the Coronation City Tour. Just an FYI: identification of most of the landmarks were done with the help of a GPS attachment to my camera and Google Maps.
Thanksgiving 2022
This year we celebrated Thanksgiving at James and Rachel's house. Those joining us included Christine and her two boys, Rachel's aunt and uncle Diana and Bob, Rachel's sister Taylor and her son and two daughters

Danube River Cruise - iPhone Pictures
On September 15th Mandy and I departed for an 8 night river cruise on the Danube.
During that cruise I took hundreds of picture with my camera. There were a few occasions when it was more convenient to use my iPhone. These are the highlights of those pictures.
Danube River Cruise - Day 2
On our second full day of our cruise (9/18/2022) we docked in Linz Austria. From there we took a full day excursion to Salzburg (about 1:45 by bus each way.)
Danube River Cruise - Day 4
On Day 4 of our Cruise we docked in Vienna. We took the "Imperial Vienna" tour.
Danube River Cruise - Day 6
On our sixth and final full day we cruised from Bratislava, Slovakia to Budapest Hungary. Once in Budapest we took the “Queen of the Danube” tour.
